Around 50 million tourists descend on the city of Amour, Paris and its surrounding Île-de-France region each year and the second thing they usually say upon landing is “let’s eat!” Paris famous for its’ monuments such as the Eiffel Tower, Moulin Rouge and the beautiful Seine River is also famous for French Cuisine, and no we aren’t talking about the extinct Ortolan bird President Mitterand feasted on as his last dying meal, but of the new wave of restaurants with delectable brunch menus. Brunch, defined as a meal taking place between 11am-2pm and extending until about 3pm has now become an all day event. But whilst you’re visiting this romantic capitol you don’t have to simply inhale baguettes and escargot. There are some really great Brunch establishments in Paris my friends and I think you’ll love!

The Frog Underground is one of my favourite places to go in Paris. The food is amazing and the patrons are mostly English speakers for those of you missing a familiar language. When I lived in Paris I would frequent this place often for brunch or dinner.

Gumbo Yaya boasts Southern Cuisine. As a southern raised foodie I will say the brunch menu is fabulous. The chicken is fried perfectly and the waffles are so good you don’t need syrup or honey. I will admit that I am not impressed by their regular menu, but the brunch is the staple to this establishment.

Now we know you don’t go to Paris looking for American food. But if you are, then this is the place for you. Boasting three locations (Quartier Latin, Marais & Champs-Élysées) and a pancake of the month you can’t help but to stop in for brunch. It’s so good it even made a feature on Emily in Paris. As many breakups Emily had, comfort food was clearly needed.

Holybely offers a seasonal menu in French and English in an industrial and yet chic setting. You don’t need a reservation which is great and it’s well priced. Let’s not forget the amazing pancakes with strawberries, nectarines and a whipped cream to melt on the tongue.

According to several sources Kozy is the end all be all place to visit for brunch in Paris and no reservation is needed. In fact, from what I am told by brunch standards all the other places in Paris can’t compete. I’m due back in Paris this Spring and will certainly stop by to order the banana and caramel pancakes! Stay tuned for an addendum. In the meantime if you are visiting Paris or headed to Paris as my bestie is for Valentines Day tomorrow to celebrate his anniversary then drop by and let me know your thoughts on the brunch menu. With four locations throughout Paris it's not secret as to why they're so popular.
